Le statut textuel particulier est engendr\u00e9 par le fait que la pri\u00e8re n&#8217;a de sens pragmatique que lorsque son \u00e9nonciation se perp\u00e9tue quotidiennement dans la pratique religieuse du locuteur. Par cet aspect it\u00e9ratif, le sens de la pri\u00e8re est optimal quand le texte reste stable, c&#8217;est-\u00e0-dire intouch\u00e9. N\u00e9anmoins, l&#8217;histoire des retraductions fran\u00e7aises du <em>Notre P\u00e8re<\/em>, pri\u00e8re chr\u00e9tienne la plus ancienne, d\u00e9ploie une multitude de variantes textuelles dont les intentions ont toujours oscill\u00e9 entre deux n\u00e9cessit\u00e9s : celle de pr\u00e9ciser le sens du texte et celle d&#8217;assurer sa stabilit\u00e9 synchronique. En 2017, le texte du <em>Notre P\u00e8re<\/em> s&#8217;est retrouv\u00e9 dans une situation singuli\u00e8re, parce que l&#8217;\u00c9glise catholique francophone a mis en oeuvre une modification officielle de la sixi\u00e8me demande pour pr\u00e9ciser le sens du verset \u00ab ne nous soumets pas \u00e0 la tentation \u00bb en le reformulant par \u00ab ne nous laisse pas entrer en tentation \u00bb. Cette retraduction est produite par une r\u00e9flexion th\u00e9ologique du contenu de la demande.
